Greek-Flavored Goat Cheese Meatballs

We always have goat cheese in the fridge cuz we love to spread them on crackers but tonight I decided to add it to some meatballs. Why not right? I decided to add some Greek flavors with cinnamon, cumin and allspice and then served them over couscous. The result? Moist and creamy meatballs with LOTS of flavor and topped with a homemade tomato sauce! YUM YUM!
Meatballs:

1/2 lb ground beef
1/4 c onion, chopped
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cumin
2 garlic cloves, minced
4 oz goat cheese
1 Tbsp olive Oil

Sauce:
1/2 c onion, chopped
1/2 c beef broth
1 c chopped tomatoes
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cumin

Prep:
1. To make the meatballs, place all the ingredients in a mixing bowl, except the olive oil, and combine them well. Form the mixture into 8 meatballs.
2. Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium high heat. Add the meatballs and brown on all sides. Remove the meatballs to a plate and keep warm.
3. For the sauce, add the onions to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes. Add the broth and deglaze. Add the tomatoes, garlic, allspice, cimmanon and cumin and bring it to a boil.
4. Turn heat down to medium-low and add the meatballs. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes until meatballs are cooked through.
