Happy Early Moon Festival!
Moon Festival is this coming Saturday so I decided to celebrate it by making Chinese Almond Cookies. (I've researched on making Moon Cakes but they seem WAY too complicated for me!) I found this recipe from Taste of Home and our entire place smelled like yummy almond goodness! The extra step of brushing them with egg white gave the cookies this pretty golden shine. Happy Early Moon Festival everyone!

I'd take these over mooncakes any day. But then again, I'd go for anything with almonds any time. ;)
